Naan Time Clock

Regular price $125.00

What's the time? It's Naaaan Time!

These loosely shaped and delicious-looking works of art tell us the time in a calm and relaxing way. When you look at the clock, a loosely formed naan tells the time. Its name is "Ima Nanji," a play on the Japanese words for "What the time?"

Naan Time was inspired by Salvador Dali's masterpiece, "The Clinging of Memory," aka "The Soft Clock". He described the image of the past time fading and dissolving in memory as a "soft clock" and this clock is a modern interpretation that emphasises how we are so pressed for time these days.

Each clock is individually made from real unsold naan breads that are purchased from Pampshade's partner bakery. The bread is carefully hollowed out during the manufacturing process, resulting in some minor cracks or small holes that further add to the clock's rustic, artisanal character.
