About Aritaware Porcelain

Aritaware is porcelain manufactured in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture, and its surrounding areas. It is said to be the first porcelain made in Japan, and has been widely used as tableware and crafts for over 400 years. Aritaware primarily uses transparent white porcelain and decoration, but there are also many pieces that use brightly coloured glazes, giving a rich variety of colours to your dining table.
